Customer story
“I manage the A-products myself, but I largely trust Rewize with the B and C products, and I hardly add those manually anymore.”
Joeri Arts, co-founder of AJ Sports

About the brand
AJ Sports is a Dutch fitness-equipment brand that started on a marketplace about six years ago and grew into a fast-moving multichannel business. Joeri Arts and his co-founder sell across their own webshop plus several major marketplaces and retailers, mostly direct-to-consumer, across a catalogue of a few hundred products and growing.
The challenge
Where AJ Sports was stuck
What started as a hobby became a fast-growing multichannel business. Every new marketplace and every new product made purchasing harder, and Joeri ran the entire reorder process himself in Excel: several tabs across several screens, sorted best-seller to worst.
The top sellers got attention. Everything below them depended on how far down the list he had time to go. The real leak was the slow movers: individually small, easy to forget, and quietly out of stock for months at a time.
In his own words, the pain came down to three things: products slipping through the cracks, losing the overview, and time.
“Some slower-moving products, zero to ten sales a week, are easy to forget. But if they're out of stock for months, that adds up to quite a bit of lost revenue.”
Turning point
Why the old setup ran out of runway
Joeri had been looking for the right tool for over a year. He ruled out an enterprise system at several thousand euro a month, then trialled a cheaper option that failed on the fundamentals: it forecast on marketplace search volume instead of real sales, and he couldn't see or adjust how it reached its numbers.
Rewize won on exactly those points: forecasts built on real sales, a transparent system he could adjust, a clear demo, and a price that fit.
What Rewize did
A visibility layer that fit the business
AJ Sports set up on Rewize in Q4 2025 and went live in January 2026. Joeri works in two modes. His A-products, the bestsellers, stay under his own hand: he makes those buying calls himself, with Rewize alongside as visibility and a second opinion that confirms his numbers. The steady sellers and the long tail behind them, his B and C products, are fully managed by Rewize.
- A-products stay founder-led, with Rewize as a second pair of eyes on every call
- B and C products fully managed by Rewize, reordered automatically
- Slow movers surface on time instead of being forgotten for months
- Purchasing across own webshop, marketplaces and retailers in one view
- Joeri still guides Rewize on new products, seasonality and safety stock
Results
The numbers that matter
The slow movers stay in stock now, worth an estimated €150,000+ a year. The products Joeri used to skip past surface automatically and get reordered on time, and in-stock rate on the range Rewize manages went from 74% to 91%. Dead stock fell from 5.3% to 3.2% of inventory even as the catalogue grew.
Rewize did not create AJ's growth, roughly 85% year over year. It protected it, making sure that growth did not leak back out through avoidable stockouts.
“I don't think Rewize drove that growth by itself, that's our own strategic choices. But it helps perfectly with filling the gaps, not overlooking anything, and giving solid advice. Year over year, we're saying 'no' to customers less often, and that's definitely valuable.”
